Reset the Mercedes Benz Actros service reminder and maintenance counter by following the steps below. Ensure to do this after an oil change so that the on board computer keeps correct track of vehicle’s maintenance schedules
- Turn Key to position No:2 in the ignition / steering lock
- Press AND Hold the button “000.0” (the trip reset button) TWICE within the space of 1 (one) second.
- Turn the key to position No: 0 in the ignition / steering lock. Then release the button.
- Press AND Hold the button “000.0” (the trip reset button) and turn Key to position No:2 in the ignition / steering lock
- After about 10 seconds the service indicator will reset and an acoustic signal may briefly sound
For newer models
- Switch on the contact of your Mercedes Actros and without starting the engine in the same way as before.
- Push in as much as possible the accelerator pedal.
- Then press 3 times the brake pedal.
- Remove the ignition.
- Turn on the ignition to restart your vehicle.
- Normally the LED should deactivate with the others.
It is important not to mix the odometer and daily counter. The purpose of your vehicle’s odometer is to memorize the number of kilometers traveled by the vehicle since its construction.
