Reset your Subaru Impreza oil light by following the procedures below. It shouldn’t take you a lot of time.
- While the ignition is ON, scroll with either up or down arrow until it says “set”.
- Pull and hold the set button
- After selecting “Maintance”, you should have 4 options in the center display
- Select Engine oil and press “SET”.
- Then type in the remaining mileage until the maintenance.
- Subaru Impreza oil light should be reset now. If not, try again or have a qualified personnel do it for you.
A Subaru Impreza should undergo an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles using 5W-30 conventional oil for model years 2002-2011 and 0W-20 synthetic oil for model years 2012-2021. Check your owner’s manual to ensure you’re using the correct amount and type of oil.
