Your Dodge Charger features an automatic oil change due message to let you know when an oil change is required. This feature will help you know how often to change your oil. Learn how to reset the oil change indicator after a scheduled oil change by following the steps below.

  • With the vehicle off, push the start button to the ON/RUN position. Do not start
  • Press the gas pedal three times and then push the start button to off position.
  • While pushing the brake pedal, start engine.
  • Your dodge charger oil change due message should now be reset.

Note: You can also check if message is reset by pressing the back the button on the left side of the steering wheel and then scrolling down to messages.

Other models

  • On the instrument cluster display, press the button to start the engine and place the ignition in the “ON/RUN” position. Do not start the engine.
  • Use the “Down Arrow” button to toggle the selection to “Vehicle Info“.
  • Press the “Right Arrow” button to get to the “Oil Life” screen.
  • Press and then  hold the “OK” button, and the Charger’s oil life will reset back to 100%.
