Mitsubishi L200 spanner reset

Mitsubishi L200 spanner reset

Mitsubishi L200 vehicles are equipped with an electronic computer system that is linked to the dashboard. This system triggers a spanner symbol on the dashboard, which tells drivers when routine maintenance or an inspection is required. The driver must respond to the issue as soon as possible and resolve it. If the driver neglects a service light, such as the routine maintenance required light, he or she runs the risk of damaging the engine – or worse, ending up stranded on the side of the road or causing an accident.

Reset the Spanner light on Mitsubishi L200 by following the steps below;

  • Turn the Ignition OFF.
  • Press the TRIP BUTTON until the SPANNER/WRENCH LIGHT is displayed.
  • While the spanner light is displayedpress and hold the TRIP BUTTON until the spanner light is flashing
  • While the spanner light is flashing, release the TRIP BUTTON and press again and it will display CLEAR.
  • When CLEAR is displayed, Press again the TRIP BUTTON 1 more time.
  • Then wait a second until the new interval is displayed.
  • Start the engine to verify the Mitsubishi L200 spanner has been reset.

Note: The steps above may also work for other Mitsubishi models like Sportero, Strada and Triton.
