Range Rover service required

range rover service reset

The “Service Required” message is displayed when your Range Rover needs service. These recommendations are made by mileage and time calculations from the Engine Control Module. Your Range Rover’s Engine Control Module monitors fuel usage to estimate engine oil wear. The message can be reset after an oil and filter change by performing the following steps

  •  Open the hood
  •  Open Driver door
  •  Turn the ignition on by pushing the start button with your foot off the brake
  •  Push the brake pedal and accelerator pedal for 30 seconds
  •  Let off the pedals and turn the ignition off.
  •  Close the hood and you are good to go

congratulations, your Range Rover service required light is now reset .

NOTE Perform service when the Service Required message is displayed (12,000 to 15,000 miles or 12 months). If you drive a regular stop and go traffic commute, perform service more frequently (between 7,500 and 10,000 miles or 6 months). Ensure that the service required light is reset after servicing the vehicle so that the onboard computer correctly tracks the mileage and accurately come on when the next service is due.
