Reset the Toyota Landcruiser Service light by following these simple steps. This should be done after changing the oil and oil filter.
Models with Start/Stop button
- Switch the display to the trip meter A when the engine is running.
- Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
- While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the “ENGINE START STOP” switch to IGNITION ON mode (but do not start the engine because otherwise the reset mode will be cancelled). See the trip metet reset button below.
- Continue to press and hold the button until the multi-information display indicates that the Toyota Landcruiser service reset is complete.
Incase this procedure does not successfully reset your service light, make sure that your digital odometer is set with the odometer reading showing and try again. If the light is still lit, try disconnecting your battery so that the internal computer resets. If the service light is still on, please read your manual or contact your dealer for further instruction!
Models without the Start button
- Turn your ignition key to the ‘ACC’ or ‘LOCK’ position.
- Press and hold the trip meter reset nob (next to your Toyota Land Cruiser’s odometer).
- While holding the trip meter reset nob, turn the ignition to ‘ON’, but do not start your Toyota Land Cruiser.
- Hold the meter reset until the MAINT REQD light switches off.
