Reset VW Tiguan service light by following the steps below. This should be done after an oil change
- Turn OFF the Ignition.
- Press and hold the 0.0 Button on the right side of the instrument cluster.
- Turn the Ignition ON.
- After you turn On the ignition. the spanner light will display and not blinking.
- While the spanner light is displayed. release the 0.0 Button then press the left button and the spanner light will disappear.
- Turn Off the ignition. Now start the engine to verify the VW Tiguan service reset is successful.
For other models
- Turn the Ignition On.
- Press the navigation button on the right side of the steering wheel.
- Navigate to SETTINGS
- Then scroll down to SERVICE. then press OK
- Then select RESET this press OK
- select OK on the menu then press the OK button
- The SERVICE is now reset.

NOTE: The VW Tiguan oil monitoring system is based on an algorithm that is used to extend the frequency of oil changes. It is not based on an oil condition detection system within the motor. Hence If you reset the light just to extend your oil change interval, you could be causing irreparable damage to your engine and possibly voiding your warranty.
