Kia Rio service reset can be done after an oil change by following the simple procedures below. This should take only a few minutes
- With the ignition set to the on position
- Navigate through to user settings
- scroll down to the service interval and push ok
- scroll down to reset and push ok.
- Start Kia Rio to check if service is reset
- If not repeat the steps above
The service required message will flash each time you turn on the ignition when your Kia exceeds the specified service interval. This interval must be adjusted after performing maintenance on your vehicle. The service required message needs to be reset so that the onboard computer keeps track of oil life. Below is how to reset the message
Note Service indicator lights exist to let the driver know when the vehicle needs general maintenance. The service indicator lights can inform the driver when the oil needs to be changed, when basic components such as air filters and exhaust systems need to be inspected, and when parts such as the brakes should be replaced.
